Looking over the 12 Step Plan to attempt in assisting people in decreasing their average time they use any kind of device or media, I found two that I find extremely important. The first that I feel would help me in trying to cut back the usage of my devices would be step two, turning off my phone. My iPhone is a huge part of my life, as it is most average teenagers, but I feel as if I need to cut back on the usage a lot. Step two tells readers that a great practice would be to set a time on your phone where it cuts off automatically to whatever time you set. This will allow users the option to head to bed late at night, or simply grab another device and go back to countless hours of scrolling through Facebook or another social media site. Moving into the next step that I see most helpful for me is step three. Step three goes over how to create a Wifi-Free space. This will aid me in putting a stop in my social media scrolling, in which I spend countless hours going through several social media sites just scrolling for no reason. This step will also aid me in stopping any procrastination that might arise in doing my school work by stopping the momentum of scrolling through social media sites.
